Synopsis

The series centers on a fake religious sect that plunges the small town of Wolchoori into chaos by exploiting the residents’ religious sentiments. When it’s announced that the town will be flooded and compensation will be given to property owners, Kim Min-Cheol (Uhm Tae-Goo), a former prisoner, returns to his hometown. He quickly notices the presence of a few suspicious outsiders and senses something amiss.

Character Descriptions

• Kim Min-Cheol: Played by Uhm Tae-Goo, Min-Cheol is a former prisoner with a strong sense of justice. Once a promising judo athlete, his life took a turn when an incident led to his imprisonment.
• Choi Kyung-Seok: Portrayed by Cheon Ho-Jin, Kyung-Seok is the leader trying to establish a religious sect in Wolchoori. Although he appears kind and helpful, his true intentions are dubious.
• Kim Young-Sun: Played by Esom, Young-Sun is Min-Cheol’s sister, a nursing student who dislikes her life in Wolchoori and dreams of leaving. Her life takes a turn when she meets priest Sung Cheol-Woo.
• Sung Cheol-Woo: Played by Kim Young-Min, Cheol-Woo is a priest who approaches Young-Sun.
• Shin Pil-Koo: Portrayed by Jo Jae-Yun, Pil-Koo is the police chief in Wolchoori.
• Go Eun-Ah: Played by Han Sun-Hwa, Eun-Ah is Min-Cheol’s first love.
