MBC’s popular romantic-comedy series “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract” experienced a slight increase in its ratings as it headed into its last week of broadcast. On December 23, the drama starring Lee Se Young and Bae In Hyuk rose to an average rating of 7.6 percent nationwide on Nielsen Korea. Thus, the fantasy series managed to become the most watched series among the TV series broadcast in its time period.

Starring Lee Se Young and Bae In Hyuk, the drama revolves around a Joseon woman who time travels from the past to the present and encounters a man who looks exactly like her late husband. Brave Miss Park and single Kang Tae Ha, who somehow come together, make a marriage contract for different purposes.

The fantasy series “My Demon”, which was released in the same time period as “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract”, received a nationwide rating of 3.8 for last night, decreasing compared to the rating of its previous episode. Despite the decline in the series’ ratings, it is met with great interest internationally. Starring Song Kang and Kim Yoo Jung, the series is a series about people who have enemies everywhere. chaebol is a romantic drama about the heir Do Do Hee and the demon Gu Won who lose their powers overnight.

JTBC’s romantic drama “Welcome to Samdalri” continued to rank first among the dramas broadcast in its time slot, although it dropped to an average rating of 6.4 percent nationwide with its episode aired last night.

tvN’s new series “Maestra: Strings of Truth” dropped to an average rating of 5.2 percent nationwide with its fifth episode released last night. The series is about the mysterious events that a woman, who was once a violinist, experienced after becoming an orchestra conductor.

KBS 2TV’s “Live Your Own Life” continued to maintain its title as the most watched drama of the day, receiving an average of 15.8 percent nationwide. Produced as a special project to commemorate KBS’s 50th anniversary, the historical drama “Goryeo-Khitan War” will continue its broadcast on December 24, after taking a break due to the 2023 KBS Entertainment Awards.
